FAQ

  • What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic care is health care that focuses on the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of neuromuscular disorders, with an emphasis on the spine and nervous system.

The purpose of chiropractic care is to reduce pain, improve body function and promote overall wellness by removing stress from the nervous system and improving mobility. It is based on the idea that the body has an innate ability to heal itself. Chiropractic care can help to facilitate this healing process by restoring proper alignment of the body's musculoskeletal system.

  • What should I wear for my chiropractic sessions?

We advise the patients to wear comfortable clothing. Your clothing should allow your body to move freely with minor restrictions so that it allows you to feel more comfortable when being treated.

  • What should I expect during my first visit?

You will be asked to fill out the initial patient intake form about your health history. Dr. Park will review your history with you and ask questions about your current symptoms, lifestyle, diet, and medical history. Depending on your condition, x-rays or other testing may need to be ordered and performed as well. Once all information is gathered, Dr. Park will discuss a treatment plan with you that may include chiropractic adjustments, exercises, stretches and lifestyle changes tailored towards your goals.

  • How long are my visits going to take?

Expect about 45 minutes to an hour during your initial visit. This visit will be the longest as the Dr. Park takes detailed medical history and allowing time for you to ask questions. Afterwards, Dr. Park will perform examinations corresponding to your problem. Starting from your second visit, each treatment is expected to take about 15 to 30 minutes.
